Supply chain is very important and usefull in our life, when we go anywhere to buy something we all need supply chain's help.Depend on supply chain manufacturer could faster to transfer products to the stores, then we could easy to get it.So supply chain really help consumer and manufacturer to saving time and money. So i could not to imagine no supply chain exist, how trouble we have in our life. Ted - this fits with another thread - combine it!

Supply chain is important not only when we want to buy something but when we need to return it too - this was a point that we saw in last class.

What examples do you have of supply chain in action? How has speed changed between when you Mum and Dad were young and your experiences now?

When I was a university student, I lived in the school dorm, when the summer vacation coming I need to send my comupter to my home. So I delivery my computer by 7-11, and just tomorrow my computer wil come back Very Happy
The speed is really faster than earlier years, when my dad was young he must wait a lot of time for that goods delivery. May one ore two weeks, even more that goods has risk to lost!

From here we actually can see the development of tech can have a great impact on us either positively or negatively. I wonder if people nowdays are able to accept the speed of tech development?

There is the problem of learning how to deal with technology. Another problem is rising expectations. Technology gives us the feeling that we can do more and more -it drives up expectations. That is challenging for managers and for customers. With Word processors now we expect almost print-ready results which even a few years back wouldn't have been possible.
