Banking industry is booming especially in the developing countries. However, it does not seem that much real experiences in banking has been researched.

Researches reveals that trust is the central tanet of the banking business. However, when trust is created, what else can be done more to enlarge banking business?

I think managers might understand when to enlarge retail bankingĦI
Through computer system, manager could estimate quatities of customers' desires in the future. Of course enlargement cost must be consideredĦI

I agree that trust is importanat, and its the fist step to contact customer.
No trust may no relation with company.

i think few months back i went to one of the bank in Changhua. One "old" lady asked me if i want to do banking on the internet, then i told her no thank you, but then she is like "begged" me to register for it, and told me that it really does no matter whether i use it or not, few mins after she told me that the manager want them by the end of the month to achieve a certain target(e.g. 100people). so i registered for it of feeling pity for her. Then few days after i registered for it, i eventually got onto their website and see what this bank can actually offer, but when i got on there is actually not much i can do on it, only thing i could do was checking my bank balance.

The point where i want to get to is that, i don't think the employees actually understands the value of promoting internet banking. I think that "old" lady Confused don't have the background knowledge about internet banking. I think they need some training before they can implement it to their service consumers

The start and the end of this post link up perfectly. How is trust build? One of the main contributors to the development of trust is customer service. Good service contributes to trust and deepens relationships.

So the first post asks... what more can be done? Well giving effective customer centric service is actually a process. It needs to focus on the ever moving target of customer expectations.

What happends when we fail? That is like this last post about banking... the customer loses interest and starts to question the trust they have in the bank.

Trust is an outcome of a process, yes we want more (trust) but to actually get there we need to do other things first.
