The C&C Conference series is directed at bringing together academics, students, business people and policy makers in an attempt to define what is being done, and what needs to be done in language and culture, to maximize Taiwan's competitive advantage in the global economy.
This topic is of special interest to administrators, teachers and students in Applied Foreign Language (AFL) departments around the country. It appears that AFL departments are in the perfect position to prepare students for these challenges. However, combining language, culture, and business, in just the right amounts is a difficult balancing act, that this conference aims at informing.
This year's conference includes papers on teaching language and culture, business issues, research methodologies and technology applications, including workshops on WWW use.
