Decades of living in Asia helps me create unique research approaches that surface local cultural aspects of consumer behavior.
As a naturalized Taiwan citizen, I have been awarded numerous research grants, awards, and honors. My marketing research focuses on Chinese cultural influences on consumer behavior and appears in publications including Journal of Retailing, Journal of Service Management, and Journal of Service Theory and Practice. Learning motivation and technology is my second research emphasis, focused on EFL, VR, and RPG use in online MOOCs, published in journals such as Online Information Review, Computers in Human Behavior, Language Learning, and TESOL Quarterly.
